A CASE STUDY OF MELAKA MONORAIL: INVESTIGATION OF TRACK SYSTEM IN HISTORICAL TOURIST HOTSPOTS is about The Melaka Monorail that now was complete uni-directional clockwise loop covering 2.5 km starting from Tun Ali Station, crossing the Melaka River plying parallel to Jalan Tun Mutahir, bypassing Hang Tuah Station, running parallel south on the west side of the Melaka River, bypassing Hang Jebat Station, crossing the Melaka River again, running parallel to Jalan Tun Ali, and returning to Tun Ali Station. After a series of similar problems it was no longer operational, the monorail has however been spotted at nights doing test runs (as of 2011). In March 2015 government planning to restore dilapidated infrastructure and to revive monorail in service in order to promote tourism in the area. The objective of this case study are to identify the safety of monorail among the tourist and to determine importance of transportation to tourists that has become a part of the tourism. The interview method for monorail supervisors was to find out the monthly data of tourists coming to the monorail. Thus in order to answer the questions raised in the problem statement, in this study, we will conduct a survey targeted at a considerably small group of tourists in Melaka The data given would be analyze using the Statistical system Package for Social Science (SPSS)
