The problem of lack of raw materials and high costs in construction has led some to find other alternatives to save on costs and gain more profit. As we know, the use bricks in the construction of a home wall is wider because of its costs and comfort. This is evident on projects that use brick as a major ingredient in construction especially for building walls. The objective of this study are to study the compressive strength of bricks mixed with coconut shells and to making comparisons between the usual brick mix with a mixture of coconut shells bricks in terms of compression strength. The use of coconut shells in making bricks layers in terms of compressive strength and water absorption was stronger than normal brick. The result I show are the durability of the brick with coconut shells as additives are stronger and resistant to the commonly used bricks. Even more durable than normal bricks. This study has many disadvantages such as difficult to obtain detailed data on coconut shell properties of this pioneer study, little can be further to future research on the potential of coconut shells. Such studies need a long time to find the best way to improve the existing coconut shell properties and its use in brick making.
