The issue construction waste management has not been adequately understood and addressed in the construction industry in Malaysia. One of the reasons for the failure of recycling programs is lack of understanding and the low level of environmental awareness. The study was conducted at the Institut Kesihatan Angkatan Tentera Kem Terendak, Melaka and Klinik Kesihatan Batu Berendam, Melaka for the government sector project and Taman Semabok Setia and Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara.for the private sector project. The results of this study are expected to raise awareness in the construction industry that recycling is not an issue that can be taken lightly because the environmental balance we have today is the right of future generations. We will conduct questionnaire surveys with construction workers and management at each construction site. The objectives of this study were to determine the level of awareness of construction workers and management in government sector project about recycling in the construction industry ,to compare the level of awareness between the government and private sector project and to recommend ways to increase the level of awareness about recycling in construction industry. In addition, awareness of recycling can be assessed based on the number of respondents who have been successfully received from the questionnaire. It will facilitate analysis of data and identify awareness of construction workers and management at research area.
