Traffic congestion is a critical problem which happens on roads which make traffic busy because roads full of cars and buses. Usually, traffic jams are caused by many reasons such as incidents, works in roads, roads maintenance. Approximately, traffic congestion occurs at peak times in the morning or evening when people are travelling to work. The high volume of vehicles, the inadequate infrastructure and not having a waiting area for parents pick up and drop their children are main cause of traffic congestion in school district at Merlimau. Besides, there no have parking lot in front of the school. The objectives is to determine the main factor of traffic congestion at Merlimau’s school.and to study the relationship of private transport usage, road structure, and waiting area that cause traffic congestion. In collecting data, questionnaire and SPSS are used. The data have been collect by respondent of the questionnaire and the data analysed by using the SPSS. About 200 questionnaires has been prepared for SMK Dang Anum, SMK SDARY, SK Merlimau and SK Merlimau. . As a conclusions, it can be concluded that all an objective was achieved. With such data the study can be completed according to the objectives made in a timely manner.
