To innovate S.I.A Bricks Carrier which can lift the bricks for brickwork and to test workability for S.I.A Bricks Carrier. In the process of making construction works there are several ways to transport the bricks such as using brick hod and conventional method (self pick-up).Bricks hod is a long handle which is carried over the shoulder . Indirectly, it may can cause shoulder injury. On the other side, the contractor also used the conventional method (self pick-up) to unload the bricks in a short distance or from another level to other level for an example narrow path and staging. It also need to use a lot of energy to unload the bricks from a place to another place. This study focuses about lifting, moving and handling bricks work on site from another level to other level or a narrow path. Usually workers are having a hard time to carry bricks with a big amounts, that’s why we invented ‘S.I.A Bricks Carrier’ also known as S.I.A Bricks Carrier, to help the workers make their works easier. The SBC length is 580mm with an adjustable width 280-510mm that also include the gripper and the height is 296mm. S.I.A Bricks Carrier can lift up maximum 8 blocks. 50mm for the dimension of the steel. We invented this product to test the workability for S.I.A Bricks Carrier in term of workability. To make sure we reach our objective, we are going to make some research at a small site that are suitable with product which is at Taman Harmoni, Merlimau, Taman Pahlawan Umbai and Sempang Merlimau to see how the workers do their work that involve bricks work. Also to compare between three method which is brick hod method, self pick up method and S.I.A Bricks Carrier method.The method to use this tools is placing the bricks correctly, place the tools indirectly to the bricks, lock it and lift it carefully.Our data and analysis shows that the majority of the respondent agreed with the question that has been ask in the questionnaire.The recommendation is improve the the weight of the tools to make it more lighter.
