This research is to study Awareness of Rainwater Harvesting System by Consumers in Politeknik Merlimau, Melaka which is built in JKA and HEP. Awareness that studied by the researcher are among citizens in PMM. Researcher use questionnaire as a main way to collect data from the respondents. There are 361 sample/respondents involved in this research. 361 sampel/respondents sample of this research actually are come from 6000 thousand population of citizens in PMM including students, lecturers and including staff of Politeknik Merlimau, Melaka (Krejcie, Robert V, Morgan, daryle W ‘Determining Sample Size for Research Activities’ Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1970). All departments in Politeknik Merlimau, Melaka involves in this research. The department involves are Civil Engineering Department(JKA), Electrical Engineering Departmen(JKE)t, Mechanical Engineering Department (JKM), Commerce Department (JP), Hospitality and Tourism Department (JPH) and JMSK Deparment. Each department will have 50 sample /respondents to answer the questionnaire. Researcher also take 61 samples from random people in PMM to see either the citizens are aware about existing Rainwater Harvesting System in PMM. Researcher also take pH test of rainwater in Rainwater Harvesting System in JKA to make sure either the water are clean or not. Researcher take twice a week for 3 weeks. Researcher use digital pH test to measure the pH of rainwater in the tank. The results of this research will be submitted to PolyGreen party to encourage Rainwater Harvesting System placed in each departments for daily use.
