A properties peat soilÂ is the nature of peat soil . Peat soil are not suitable as base soil because they are weak and highly compressed . This study was conducted to investigate the properties of peat soil through physical properties test .The physical properties of peat soil collected from peat layer are determine by implementing moisture content,organic content ,fiber content , specific gravity,bulk density and dry density .The main problem involving peat soil is the low shear strength of the soil . However previous studies have shown that shear strength soil will increase when it is strengthened , so the method of repair is developed to increase the strength of peat bearing by increasing the strength of consolidation
